Let’s Go Swimming!
“Genuinely brilliant”
“Some of the most fun music we’ve had this year”
- James Threlfall, BBC Introducing
🏊♀️
A four-track indie-pop concept EP about finding joy, being silly and going for a swim.
Released in June 2026, Let’s Go Swimming! takes you on a journey from the pre-pool excitement, through the glorious joy of being in the water, all the way to that wonderful post-swim exhaustion.
The whole thing started after I watched the Paris 2024 Olympics from my sofa and decided that I wanted to properly learn how to swim. So I taught myself using YouTube tutorials. The pool quickly became my favourite place to be - a space for freedom, movement, quiet thinking and a surprising amount of joy.
Written and recorded in 2 days in Germany with my dear friend, writer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Finn Kleffmann, Let’s Go Swimming! has been the most fun I’ve ever had making music.
The project grew into a whole swimming-themed world, including:
🏊 The Pool Party Extravaganza
A full live launch party at Bristol South Swimming Pool, where my band - Poppy Rose & The Pool Buoys (me, Finn, Cian & Ieuan) played the EP live on pool deck, while the audience floated and swam IN the pool! It was the most fun night ever!
📻 BBC Introducing Artist of the Week
I was selected as Artist of the Week on BBC Introducing in the West in August 2026, with the final track I’m Tired (It’s Time To Go Home) bringing Let’s Go Swimming! to a whole new audience.
🏅 Meeting my swimming heroes
Making this project led me to meet people I never imagined I'd be chatting to about my music - including swimming commentator Andy Jameson, and Olympian Jacob Peters and swimming content creator Jess Podger being part of my music video.
🌍 World Aquatics
Let’s Go Swimming! was also featured across World Aquatics' social media, putting the song in front of their 1.9 million followers.
I'm ridiculously proud of this project.
More than anything, Let’s Go Swimming! is a reminder that it should be fun.
Life should be fun. Music is fun. Create your own fun. Make time for fun. Be silly. Play. Make whatever art you want. Follow your joy.
You never know where it might take you.
I Love My Body
A song about making peace with the body you're in.
I Love My Body began as a simple idea: writing a song that celebrated bodies not for how they look, but for everything they allow us to do.
This song has gone on to connect with people in ways I never expected.
Since its release, I Love My Body has:
Been featured on HBO Max's TV show Second Chance Stage (2024), accompanying Ramona’s beautiful ballet dance performance
Been performed by choirs
Been licensed for theatrical productions
Reached thousands of listeners around the world through independent release
What began as a personal song has become something shared: sung collectively, danced to, and brought into new creative spaces.
At its heart, I Love My Body is a reminder that our bodies are not projects to be fixed - they're the places we live our lives from.
I’m Ready Now
Released in 2024, I'm Ready Now is my debut album - a collection of songs recorded live in my bedroom in one take, using only my voice, acoustic guitar and piano.
I self-produced the album, capturing performances as honestly as possible: no perfectionism, no endless editing, just real moments recorded as they happened. After years of writing these songs and performing them live with various collaborators, I wanted to capture the songs how they were when I wrote them - just me.
The album became a snapshot of a particular moment in time - a reminder that sometimes the most powerful recordings aren't the most polished ones, but the ones that feel real.
I'm Ready Now marked the beginning of a new chapter: trusting my own ideas, learning how to produce my own music and creating things on my own terms.
